What is the likelyhood of an 8 1/4 sbp?

need an 8 1/4 rear axle with sbp(i wanna keep my wheels) what cars should i look for that would have this at my local pick-n-pull?? or anywhere for that matter. if someone has one pm me im interested! sure grip would be cool too!

None as far as I know.

Your only chance is a early 7 1/4 or a 8 3/4.

i already kno that pre 72 had sbp 8 1.4

Without custom aftermarket axles, zip, zilch, nada, in other words, zero.

Prior to 73 the 8 1/4 was only used in B bodies and all are LBP.
73 is the 1st year for A body 8 1/4.

that throws a big financial wrench into my plan a sure grip differential for an 8 1/4 is about $300 whereas the same thing for 8 3/4 is like $700

guess i gotta go find someone willin to sell a used 8 3/4 with suregrip on the cheap!

just run BBP 8 1/4 and BBP front discs they are both cheap all most any SBP wheel is available in BBP
