S6 to v8 conversion bracket ?

Forgive my ignorance, but I am curious what makes the conversion brackets from slant six to v8 different between the 340/360 and 273/318? This is going in a 71 Duster.

the 318 to 340 has a narrower spacing between the bosses on the drivers side

yep the 360 has a different drivers side mount from the 318/340. i think you can make it work if you shim it. ive never done it, only read about it.
