7260 slip yoke to 1350

I broke my 7260 u joint, so I had a new 1350 drive shaft made. The shop put a slip yoke on the new drive shaft that is much shorter. The splines inside each are the same length but the original 7260 yoke has about 3 inches in the front that have no splines. Will the new one work? This is on an 833 four speed. The black mark on the picture shows where the splines end. Thanks for your help. Sorry, I can't seem to get the picture to load.

Many different slip yokes made by detroit for the varrying 727 shafts, you'll be fine, but that slip should be set closer to the seal
