I just got this old thing off my cousin for $600, slant, drums, 3on the tree, pov pack, love it!
Looks ok from the outside but the floors a gone!
It seams the farmer that own it let his dogs pee in the back, wich has rusted
the bed through and inturn the floorpans.
The floors are the same as sedan/wagon so its no biggy.
But apart from lots of little dents, the body is in good shape.

Ohhh WOW i never ever have seen such thing and never in my wildest dreams tough of Dodge did made something like that, ohh my God i really want to see that one as a drag radial drag bruiser!

The seat is in the back so it messes up the pics a bit.
Iv started vacuuming and wire brushing, at a glance it looks like it needs sills to.
I have found a number of ugly patches, done with alli sheet, pop rivets and black RTV :angry7:
So as you can see, the tork boxes are rusted through, so are the sills and the base of the fire wall needs work.

Hi, nice to see ute project here. Can you put pictures from structures of bed and beddoor? I have tried found pictures with no match this far.
I am thinking to build homemade 2d ute or stw from '67 4d valiant. Just after i have finished 2d sedan. But it is easier to make plans and sheetmetals before.
Do you find new Valiant letters to hood? Are expensive?

Have nice summer mate there south, here -10 °C now and waiting next weeks -29 degreeses Celsius.

I don't know how popular doing a American 69 Dart front end would be but it sure would make that thing unique over there I'd bet, or at least one of a few.
Of course I'm a bit biased as I have a 69 Dart still that I got my license in and daily drove till 2006 when gas here got stupid priced and the car got to be worth too much to just drive even in rough but OK shape.
In case you USA guys don't know Australia had some really cool cars based on the A bodies we know and love over there, and this is one of them.
If you really want a fun time look up the Hemi 6 Valiant Chargers they had. they were as big a deal there as ANY muscle car we know and love.
Keep going with the updates and think about using the US front clip/grill :thumblef:

Thanks boys!

29below!! no way! we average 29C above! at the moment. so about 85F.
I have the letters for the hood in the glove box and ill get some structural pics from under the bed for ya to mate.

Dartman unfortunately this is to be my daily drive, so cost has to be kept to a minimum and that means
no dart grill n bumper :angry7:

I can't believe how full of dirt the rails are. they are literally full of dirt! Im going to be cleaning forever!
