Jeff's 71 Swinger build
Hey all. It's time to start on my build. I have had and been working on my 71 Swinger for just over 2 years now. It's time to start my build. I have some catching up to do, show whats going on now and then go from there.
Now the start. Back in 06 I bought a 71 Swinger down in AL on a bill of sale. Worked on the boldy for awhile and found out the state of KY would not give me a title. So lots of time and little money wasted. So I set out to find another 71 so I could use the parts I have aquired on the new project and have a complete "parts" car. In 2008 I searched the back threads in the 4 sale ads here and found what I was looking for. The post was a few months old but had no replys so I took a shot and he still had the car. to beat it all just 25 minutes from the house. The amp gauge was burnt and I could not hear the car run. SO we hammered a price, put it on a trailer and headed home. Here are the pic of when I brought it home.

The hitch was welded to the frame. Springs were shot, not sure what was being towed.

I don't have pics, but the first thing I had to do was get the car running. The Amp gauge had burned up and melted wires. So with the help of FABO I was able to bypass the gauge. Thanks FABO. Before pics of dash.
Thanks for looking.

Time to post more pics to get caught up.
Please don't be hating. There was only very minor surface rust on the floors.

looks like I need to update some things here. Here are the pics of trunk. There were no repairs needed to the trunk. So I scuffed, POR 15, prime then paint. I will do my best to get my thread caught up on the car progress. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the pics.

Now for engine bay pics. Some of the pics are out of order that work was completed, but will give you an idea of what I have done over the past year.

Thanks for the comments guys. Now I need to get off my a$$ and get this thread updated. Lots have been done to "Sally" that needs to be displayed.
Later today she is going to be in the home town parade.
