i'm just going to go on the record and say that this could quite possibly be the slowest build thread ever, and it will basically start out as a goodies thread to show what i have to work with until i have the space to tear into it like a weed whacker tears into that grass around your tree that annoys you because your lawn mower can never get it all, but you know better, so you break out the heavy artillery, and show that grass that you mean business.. :finga:

so here's the first set of pictures, may not be another one for a while, but i assure you, this project will get done, whether i like it or not :iconbigg:

here's what i'll be starting out with

(images are thumbnail links due to size, click for larger view)

i heard that most of this stuff is pretty hard to find...i got it all for free with the car
(original part number stripes, an old style mopar sticker, and a direct connection patch)

340-6-pak heads

casting number? dunno if you can read it in the pics, but just in case

Hurst competition plus 4-speed shifter with positive stops

i also have the serial number matching 340 block in the garage, couldn't get a pic, it's mostly buried right now, i hope you enjoyed this, and will enjoy what is yet to come =)
