Ok so this is really only for Canadians although I think you can use this if you got ripped off by a Canadian.
Anyways if you get ripped off when buying something online then there is help!
Whenever you buy something always get a name of course and as much info as possible. A phone number to a land line (not a cell phone) is a really good help. An address is another step even if you're the buyer. Although sometimes you can get an address from a phone number.

The website used to be called RECOL.ca but it was changed. Simply put it a place to file a report with the Anti-Fraud Center of the RCMP.
You click where it says "How do I report Fraud" then find where it says "To report economic crime on-line please click here" and click "here".
Fill out the info in the form to the best of your knowledge. After it'll give you a file number for the fraud as well as give the OFFENDER a number to keep track of them in any other files.
I've recently had to use this website and to great effect. After you give the offender the website along with the case file number and their own file number generally most people sit up and start taking notice. Sometimes every little bit helps.
