Thanks ill have a few days off from it while my buddy dans is on vacation. So I'm going to try to clean up my emblems. I'm going to move them to the rear quarter like the 67s and have the scripted lettering on the trunk with the valiant symbol above it.

So I ordered my window sweeps from legendary interiors and the next business day I get a conformation email saying there a month wait on back order. Called Dantes mopar and sure enough he had one kit in stock so I called up Legendary back and canceled my order and bought them from Dantes. I paid about $14 more but one week vs one month Ill spend a little extra.

Took about a week break from working on the car (not by choice but Dan had plans and I told him from the start family comes first). So today I got about 7 hours in on somes solo tasks.

I removed all side glass, window sweeps, door seals. and trim. I also removed the drivers door to repair the hindges.

The back glass on this side was easy to remove (i wonder why?)

After removing the glass and trim I decided to strip all floor seem sealer and see just how bad the floor was. This was the worst of the rust for the floor which is because of dirt trapped between the floor mount and pan. I still have a small 1"x3" piece to fix near the dimmer switch and a 1"x1" spot on the drivers side mount area.

I'm in need of those window sweeps also. The kit you got from Dante's is it an 8 piece kit? Is quality good? Dave....

I didn't have a choice between black and chrome. The replacements are all black.

Your engine bay is looking fresh! My quarter was patched (with a junk yard patch panel) the same way in the 80's.

Thankss Cudachris it took over 50 hours to get it that far. I hope the rest of the car turns out just as nice. Soooooooo I had to stop off to get another spool of flux wire for my buddy dan and he gets lincoln wire for his clarke 130. So i asked him if he would be up for trying hobart wire and he was okay with it. So i went to costal farm and ranch (formeral BigR) this morning and headed to the welding section and was looking at what welders they had on hand and what was on sell. I noticed the hobart auto arc 130 for $300 on clearance. An employee happen to be walking past and asked if I needed any help and I responded (which I already knew the anwser to) "why is this hobart 130 $80 cheaper than the hobart 125"? "Well thats unit is on clearance" he said. I asked "do shields bag and printing (my employment gets discounts at costal) employees get discounts on welding equipment" He said "not on welding stuff they dont" I kicked the tires sort of speak and said "is that the best you can do"? He knocked $50 off the already $100 clearance price. So I got a new welder for $270 out the door. I do need to get the regulator kit for my bottle and im going to build a new cart at work this weekend.

This welder on it lowest setting is hotter than my old pos on its highest setting.

thats some of the cleanest flux core welding ive seen. Thats 22 gauge steel with the welder set to 2 of 4 with the wire speed at 25. Im still working out the wire feed tensions. Like the wire doesnt want to feed some times. Im sure I have too much tension on the wire. I did finish up the passenger wheel tub and quarter along with the little filler panel.

I hate set backs... I had to take my 4 day old welder back because the wire feed motor took a shit. Hope this other one works okay.

That's it does... soon we will be flinging mud and sanding it down. I can't wait to install all these new parts I've got for it.
