Too many projects
I did a 1 week trip with a friend to go see Dartnut (Tom) and OldKimmer (Kim) to pick up a 727 that Kim built me for my 340. On the way I took pictures of everything car/truck I was able to grab a picture of, so I'll post those, as well as Kim's Dusters, and Dartnut's awesome yard.
So it starts here, pulling into Lordco Auto Parts on the way to the ferry.
This was in Kelowna.
Then stopped at a pull out in between Kelowna and Grand Forks, to look at the heavily flooded river, and spotted something on the other side.
This cool painting was in Midway, look closely.
In Grand Forks.
I won't say what town this Charger was in, because it was a small town, but somewhere in South Alberta. All tires were flat, looked like it had been sitting a looooong time.
The Saskatchewan weather was dark and raining hard, so its a good thing we had a random guy come up to us in Walmart and say he had an extra 4Runner in his yard for parts. We scored a wiper motor (since ours died), and 2 rear tires which weren't bald.
Got to Kim's (OldKimmer) house and took some pics of his Dusters. The red one is a 75 (?), low milage original 360 car.
The pink one is a drag car, with a 440.
Kim took us out to another property where I picked up my transmission. We put it in a case and strapped it down to our home made roof rack made of an old bed spring. He had a ton of 727's there! He took us back to his place and him and his wife made us steak, which was awesome by the way! Thanks Kim! We drove back to Medicine hat that night.
We met up with Tom (Dartnut) in Lethbridge, and followed him to his house. On the way I spotted a Superbird (which I'd never actually seen before in real life), so we turned around and stopped at a small fund raiser, and grabbed some pictures of the Plymouth. It was supposedly a numbers matching Hemi Superbird, and it was gorgeous!
Also grabbed pics of the 69 Charger, and the 62 - early 65 Sweptline, which was customized.
More driving.
There is a Fargo through those trees..
