both are for 727/ small block
going into a 70 Dart swinger

does one fit better than the other ?

haven't measured or fitted yet,
the csi appears taller and wider

Will there be any clearance issue between the factory floor and shield

want to install the eng/trans with either shield
don't want to pull it back out to create clearance at the floor

thanks

did some more checking

tci will set inside the csi, the mounting bolt are 1" difference (csi taller)

csi wider

csi bottom shield (wider, front to rear) covers more area.

tsi upper shield wider (front to rear) covers more toward the front

You need a blanket, that floor is tight. It's why we have to cut to put in anything else than a 904 or a833.

Thanks Guys, for the replies

Looks like we will be sectioning the floor
Just feel better having the shield in there.

It's still on the rotisserie, no interior
time to do it is now.

saaaaaaaaweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet job.

thanks BOB

It wasn't to bad

first welded the seam
then hammered the seam over to gain clearance

I mounted the trans as high up as it would go

Then located it with a 2 x 4 across the T-bars and used the bottom bolt holes of the trans as location points

Then bolted the shield on
With-out the pan and spacers (So that the shield would be higher)

sectioned the tunnel the floor
raised the trans back to the located height
welded the floor up

when I install the trans
the shield will be lower
due to the pan and spacers ( about 3/4")

Should have enough clearance
