I thought I would start a makeover thread since I am going to be doing a lot of work to my new 68 Barracuda.Plan is to clean it up as well as possible. The car has sat since 97 and is filthy.Paint is fadded and the interior as the of the car is just dirty. Then Easter weekend pull out the 318 and drop in a new engine soon after.Later on new black bench seat interior and some new wheels and tires. Also I have a new gas tank,4 shocks, leaf springs, brakes lines, fuel lines, anda few other things to install.

I buffed it up as well as I could.Doesn't look too bad even with the 40+ years of dings and scrathes. The hood is going to have to be repainted.

Congratulations on a groovy MoPar :color: Happy for you man :glasses7:

I pulled the seats and carpet to give them a good cleaning.Found a buildsheet under the rear seat.Check out the floor, you just have to love Western cars.

That is one clean Cuda! I thought you had a F S Cuda that you had quarters off and mini tub, did you sell or am I confused?

Yes I had the 67 Formula S.I lost my job and make way less money now.I knew I wouldn't have the money to finish the car so I sold it to a FABO member last summer. Then sold my 71 Duster to buy this a few weeks ago.

the 318 would start right up but had a miss and pop through the carb. Here is what I found to be the issue.I am pulling the original engine and I have a fresh 275-300 HP 318 to drop in...

That paint looks better than the hood!!! :-) I just love this little car, and I can hear in your posts your enthusiasm for this car, as it should be!! Congrats, it's coming along nicely!! Geof

Subscribed! Nice looking Cuda, my 68 has similar floor pans - Arizona/New Mexico car. Now the dash is another story.....
