I almost posted this over in 'Welcome Wagon' its been so long since I've posted here.

I'm sure most don't remember me but I have a 71 Demon orig /6 now 360 that I'm working on. I bought the car 3 years ago (wow, I can not believe its been that long) and I was coming along pretty well for awhile getting her in driving shape. (I can't remember if I posted my long term plans for her or not.)

But, I'm sorry to say, I had lost interest for about a year for a variety of reasons. Money was one. The other is that most of the work that was done to the car was done with the help of friends and family that I am close with and know alot more about these things than I do. For whatever reason they don't come around much anymore and I am pretty much on my own. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind at all to work on the car, I'm just so fearful of doing something the wrong way and messing something up that can't be fixed. I do have some other people that have expressed interest in being willing to help, I just havent asked yet.

I have decided to start working on her again, do what I can when I have time and can afford it, and just enjoy being a Demon owner again. I have to remind myself why I love these cars and enjoy being around them.

Sorry to rant, I didn't start this thread just to complain. I just needed to get that off my chest. I mainly started this thread to let everyone know that I have decided to stop being embarassed to ask questions, and use this site as the great resource that it is. So expect several questions, hopefully not too many stupid ones, in the coming months.

I have contemplated starting a thread in the resto section showing where I started, what I've done so far, and any progess I accomplish. What do you guys think? Is that something thats worth doing? I'm thinking that might help me to stay motivated. If I do is it better to ask individual questions in that thread or start new ones if something comes up?

From what I've seen the people here a great. I hope you don't mind being my support group as I ease back into the swing of things. I'll do my best to not be such a stranger! Thanks and take care.

Welcome back!!! Some times you just need a brake. Good to see you are getting in to it again. I think it is a very good idea to put up a post in the members resto thread! It does help a lot to see all the progres you have made.

Good luck with your build.

You'll git 'er dun.............Just hang in there and do a little at a time........Can't wait to see what you've gotten accomplished..........Sounds like a nice engine swap............... :-D

It was a nice upgrade, but I gotta warn you before you see it, she ain't much to look at. It was a 78' 360/904 that my uncle had layin around in his shop. He said to take it and use it if it runs. We were a little nervous about it but we got it in and she fired up. I didn't take the time to clean much on it because honestly I had planned on taking it right back out. Now it looks like its found a home for the time being.

Hey. Lets see some pics. Would love to see it. I got a soft spot for the Demons. I am turning a 75 Duster in to a 72 Demon. Click on the link in my sig if you wan't to see it.

Don't wory about it being ruff. We don't care. You got to start some where. Right?

I plan to start my resto thread soon, but ok here is the 360/904 while we were installing it.

Welcome back. Don't worry about any question you ask, if you're at all unsure about something, ask. There is a saying that goes "Learn to do by doing". I swapped the /6 with all running gear and built a mild 318 on my own for my Dart, without having ever done anything like it before, and had nobody to help me. Just take your time with things, and again, if there is something you aren't sure how to do, ask your questions here. There will always be someone to answer it for you. Good luck.

Sorry the pics are blurry. When I resize them for the forum they turn blurry for some reason. Any tips? I'd rather not use a picture hosting site if I can get away from it.

The only dump questions are the ones you don't ask. Resto threads are great they help keep you motivated, and just remember it's only metal, if you mess something up it's just a learning experience and don't stress over it.

If you have a digitel camers. Put the MP to 3.1. Then they will load right up. For pics all ready taken. I just crop them down a bit and they usualy load up then.

Thanks again. I can already see how this could keep a guy motivated.

demon522: Just came over from "Let's see the Demons" post. Sounds like your car is coming right along. Keep workin' at it. We all learn by doing, so keep on doing. I've screwed more things up on my cars than I care to mention. So don't be afraid to tackle any job, just take your time. And remember, no matter how long you own a Mopar, it's never completely done. It's a continuous project. LOL

Thanks for the kind words Demon416. Alot of great looking Demons in the other thread. Seeing those pictures and kind words like yours go a long way in keeping people motivated. It looks like it is going to be a good spring/summer working on my Demon! Thanks again.

Lots to learn here.Great guys and info.Remember, you won,t know if you don,t ask!Kinda like your first kiss,ya gotta try!LOL!
