Rear end is 8 3/4 with super stock springs. Looking for a tire size that will fit in a drag radial for the street and strip? I have nitto on the car now but not drag radials.

Yes it is stock width and has the super stock springs.
I'm not sure how the springs affect things, even assuming they're at the stock location...but all else being equal, you can fit a 255/45/17 on the rear which will get you pretty close to the fender. Ideally, you'd want a 5.25" offset to fit a bit more rubber...but it sounds like you already have the wheels.
Also, there's probably room for a taller tire if that's what you're looking for...and maybe that's where the springs come into play.
