Putting together my shifter from brand new parts I’ve got online looks like bottom rod is too short. Does anyone have photos of the underside of the shifter where it attaches to the transmission? Any pictures would be great!

I don't know if this pic will help you or not. Which linkage piece ?

I thought I had a spare to help you, but can't find it. I'd have to remove my console to get pics & measure mine....

Hopefully, another member can help!

I didn't know that rod was made in 3 different lengths/shapes until I saw a retail vendors pic of all 3 shared here. I can't say what vendor that was. I actually had created that rod from a old piece of linkage before learning I could have purchased one. Heat to bend, cut and weld, and I did have a example in hand to go by ( 2 cars at that time ).
3 different types seems to be the norm' for the support with bushing that catches the bottom of the strut rod, and that lever attached to the trans shift shaft also. Good luck
