After doing a little research I find conflicting information on which number radiator is correct for a 1970 340 Swinger. I have used the Chrysler muscle car parts interchange manual and used the Roseville Mopar Web page and come up with two possibilities. First is Chrysler part number 2998945 and second is Chrysler part number 2998978. The interchange manual says 2998945 is for a 1970 a body with a 318 with maximum cooling. The Roseville site say both numbers are for a 1970 a body 340. Tonys Mopar Parts also lists the 2998945 radiator as being correct for a 1970 340 a body. Which radiator is the correct one to use? Would anyone with a 1970 340 a body with it's original radiator be willing to take a look and see what part number is on your radiator? Thanks in advance fabo.

2998978 is standard radiator for 340 V8 in 1970 Dart. 2998945 is for A/C in 1970 Dart - 3 row core or could be ordered as max cooling for the Dart without a/c.

Good info but which part number would be correct for my 1970 340 Swinger with A/C? Unfortunately, I don't have a broadcast sheet for my car.

Are the 944 and 945 radiators the same with the exception of the part numbers?
