1970 FJ5 340 duster 4 speed ** new project**

Got the car saturday , its ugly as hell but you can see that the structure is amazing , decided to keep it and restore it , thinking of really putting it back to oem specs , very rare combo for canada ! Yes indeed.. Redemption !!!!

just think what a trip to the soda blaster, a 1 1/2 gal of epoxy would do for it! I know, some will say, leave the patina and clear it!

anyway, cool project!
 
We looked at the car and its really solid , its hard to believe , for a canadian car its almost impossible to find , real matching body , matching 340 , matching a833 and matching 8 3/4 3.23 suregrip , very happy!!! Posting pictures soon !!
 
I'm thinking that the tire sizes are a part of that, but I like the car, like the stance.
 
congrats on finding a rally good project. yes it ain't pretty! sorta like the 71 duster I drug home last fall, "SHE " said it sure ain't pretty! but after some patches, some sanding, some epoxy primer in places, she is NOW amazed> yes I am a genius!! ha
 
No the stance wasnt supposed to be like that...theres no schocks in front and no torsion bars so the front is completly on the ground !!
