So, here is a problem that has been bugging me. My Duster's oil smells like gas. It has been happening over the years and gets to the point that the oil needs changed. I remember a few years ago, I changed the fuel pump to see if it helped but it didn't. The car only gets started and run as I don't have it on the road yet. I rebuilt the Edelbrock carb a little bit ago as the accelerator pump on it went bad. I had just changed the oil and after running the car once, the oil smelled like gas again. Does anyone know what is going on?

Thanks

Sounds like its not getting up to temp and not being able to evaporate the gas vapors. That, or your dumping fuel past the rings. I once read that if a car is going to sit, its best to change the oil and let it sit, than to keep starting it and only letting it run a few minutes. It contaminates the oil and doesn't get up to temp to burn off the vapors of fuel and moisture that accumulates.
