255/60-15" on a 65 Valiant ?

Is anyone running 255/60-15" tires, on the rear of a 65 Valiant ? -- Or -- Will they fit without any well/body modifications ? -- I'm running 245/60-15"s, on 7" rims, and there's a little extra room. -- I'm not sure of the BS, but will check.

The 255s are around 10mm wider than the 245s, or just over 3/8". All you need to do is start measuring.

I have tried this with 15X7 wheels, most have a 4.25 back space, and they rubbed on the outside. If your car is higher than stock in the rear and you have a bit more back space you might get it but I doubt it.

they work with the wheel vintiques smallbolt ralleys 15x8 with the 4-5/8 backspacing. slight rub on outside of drivers side over big bumps but not bad.
