Because I'm using the 998 Trans , I needed to clearance the block to allow the starter to fit , the A style blocks are different to the LA blocks by about 3/4 " on the starter side . This is not really an issue if using a 727 trans , some will have one bolt hole in a different location , depending on years.

Got back to work on the Poly /Charger , Had to make a Booster delete Plate all part of the RHD Challenges , either this or put the brakes under the dash , removing the two pulleys from the stack provided hours of fun :) as was resurrecting some coral Kick Down / Shifter pieces .... Then I pulled out the Hemi 6 and K frame and all concerned , and popped in the Poly , Converted it back to Auto , Just need to make an Exhaust System and all the little things Neutral safety , reverse lights ect

Wow awesome build. I love those Aussie valiants. "Hey Charger" from the looks of the pix i am sure you will be hearing that from a lot of people when you drive her around again.

I cant wait to read about how well your combo works.

Re Phased my Distributor , so it has Reluctor/Rotor/Terminal post aligned at 16Deg BTDC (locked) , and I used the Vac advance plate to wind in 15Deg more for a total of 31Deg , I cut off the Diaphram and welded a S/S bolt shank slid a spring onto it (tensions against nut) so I can wind in or out advance . Because I have the Mallory Charger 6 (boost retard Box) I pull the timing back to 15 by 7psi , tested it at idle by hooking the Map sensor up to my compressor, worked well :)

My brothers from down under showing his skills, Love the Poly Im going to do a set of poly heads for my stroker build. I was thinking of a SC for mine.

Time to try another Carb , Pulled the 500 tonight , surprisingly it worked quite well , ran 5 -7 psi through it , boost referenced via the hot side (below turbine) in the pipe work , this gave reliable enrichment right before boost rise , fuel distribution was better on the stock intake over the Weiand , but pretty happy with how that all went overall. Got some new Carb options ,
Just picked up a new C&S 650 blow through (gas) keen to try it , and one day wouldn't mind trying the TQ .

Great build and amazing skills! Can't wait to see some dyno or track numbers. Cheers.

Cheers guy's thanks for your kind words , got a quick test drive in , Carb as delivered ran nice ( with just idle / mixture adjustments) 5psi with a 7psi spike on the shift .. All good need to pull some fuel from PV jets (rich as delivered ) @#63
One issue I have had since putting on the Aluminum manifold is heat soak via the Exhaust cross over under carb , ( I was too impatient and did not block it off before fitting it) this is causing poorer idle quality when combined with the engine/ carb/hat affected by latent heat . So it's time to buy some more intake gaskets :)

Been a little while since I posted , Poly is still alive, have pushed it to 10 psi with the C&S 650 Blowthrough carb , I think I will get a Cam next and maybe port some heads up , the stock .391 lift cam minus wear is not exactly a high performance piece , that said it was beginning to make some steam @10psi :)

So being a tinkerer , I popped on the the TQ , (the original one I had had a bent secondary throttle shaft ) so I replaced the baseplate with another , turned the Boost way down to 3 psi , cruise is 14.6 to 15.2 from 35 to 65 mph , and WOT 11.8 to 12.4 ? Didn't do anything wrong , so I am @4.5 psi now , slight tweak of the Airdoor equals 11.6 to 12.1 , I don't know if it can hold these numbers for a full pass , to be continued

Nice! If you document how to blow-thru those TQ carbs you might put those fancy carb builders out of business. Or at least open the door to more and cheaper options for the budget builder.

Tried the TQ @ 8psi was holding 12.## until a few seconds into top , laid over 15.## and climbing retested did the same thing , (emptying the Bowl as expected ) have worked out another fuel source in theory , to be tested , and have some new number Drills for the jets ......

Unfortunately no , been working away for months , with fleeting trips home , I try to drive it or at least start it every time I return home ....( Stupid work. ) i am keen to get back into it as soon as I get a chance :)

Small update , long time since I have worked on the Charger , I have been trying to find a cam for the Poly , originally I had asked Bullet Cams for a mild cam , but by the time I went to order it , they were unable to source a blank ...... So I let it go for a while and recently I sent emails to several Cam suppliers here and in the US , I was resigned to the fact I would have to re grind an old cam . Only one Cam company replied to me ? Camcraft Cams , and they have Brand new Blanks in stock :) so I now have a new ( mild )Turbo grind and new full bodied lifters .... Just need springs , retainers and Chain set . And some time away from work and I will pop it in ....

Long time since i have done much to this car , I had started porting a spare set of heads , But then a Dirt bike accident messed up my shoulder , So i thought i will Try tuning it again ... so i removed the C&S Blowthrough 650 DP and decided to try my Thermoquad again , Vids not the best , but Cruise at 50mph then WOT to 100mph @10psi .

Cool. So very cool.
Im not a big fan of turbocharging but this is cool.
