'65 Cuda: What's in my car?????

Hi guys, I've got a '65 cuda with a 2-barrell 273 and an automatic. The questions are:

1. How do I tell what transmission I have (I was told it is probably a 904)?

2. What rear end do I have?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

cable shift 904 and a 7 1/4 would have been original.

Double what 65Cuda360 says! My 65 Formula S is now equipped with a 8 1/4 rear and 318 motor but still runs on a well built 904 trans. Originally came with a 273, 904, 7 1/4 rear from the factory! Simple set up but effective in the day.

If you look underneath the car from behind, you'll know it's a 7 1/4" if it has a cover that's oblong with one corner cut off.

Should be a floor shift in 65 like my Signet converible. Would still have the ball and trunion driveshaft.
