72 Demon sails

Hi all

HELP!!!! I recently received the rear sail panels for my 72 Demon. They each came with the two cardboard pieces (glued to the back) that hold the plastic fasteners in place (which I can't find anywhere). Anyway I was told that some people make the metal door panel clips work as well. My question is how to fasten the metal clips underneath the already glued down pieces on the back of the sail panels?? Any advice would surely be appreciated so I can keep moving forward with my project. Thanks everyone.

That cardboard isn't (or shouldn't be) glued down solid-a part of it is not. The end of the clip slides under the area that is not glued.

(edit) To pile on: The cardboard glued to the back of the sail should be a sort of ring shape. The clip goes in the hole in the 'ring' and under it where it isn't glued down. And my '72 Duster had the metal door panel clips originally so they should work on yours as well.
