I am selling my 1973 Duster.
It is a full tube chassis car, 2x3, it was done when I bought it and I had upgraded a lot of the car(listed below) I was told the car was built in the early 90s.
It has ladder bars with Mustang II front end. QA1 shocks all around.
Ok now the good stuff. The car is fresh, I want to sell it to fund another project that is mostly completed.
The car is plum crazy purple with a ghost purple pearl stripe that is like the factory stripe. The car is solid, I replaced both 1/4 panels on the car, doors and fenders are also steel and have no rust. 1/4s are stretched 3 inches to allow a 33" inch tall tire. The front and rear bumper are fiber glass, the deck lid is fiberglass along with the hood which has a 9" cowl scoop. Front rims are Weld ProStar 2.0s with Morroso tires, the rears are 15x14 Billet Specialties with Mickey Thompson 16.5x32s. Wilwood disc brakes all around. all factory glass. headlights and tail lights work along with brake lights. Interior is all aluminum with factory door panels and still has the factory dash and crash pad, the the original cluster is gone, before I bought the car, I installed Autometer gages. There are 2 Kirkey seats, 5pt seat belts, removable steering wheel with trans brake button. Shifter is Cheetah and has the line lock on the shifter. It has a MSD 6 digital and all new painless wiring with switch panel and relays.
The motor is a Competition components/ Scott Brown piece, it is 511CID, made 872hp on the dyno at Muscle motors on E85. when I had Scott build the motor I told him it needed to be streetable. It has Eddie heads and Indy intake, a Scott Brown cam and CFM 1150 Dominator
. I can provide more details on the engine if desired. The trans was done by performance torqueflite out of Louisville KY, it has a A&A clean neutral valve body with trans brake. The trans has the latest 16 bolt sprag and everything internally to handle 1000hp. A list of parts can be supplied. There is a 5500rpm PTC convertor in it with a Moser spool and 35 spline axles. the gear is a 5.13. A few other items of note, Morros vacuum pump, Fluidyne radiator, MagnaFuel Prostar 500 pump with filter, magnfuel 2 part regulator, denso style 120amp alt, aluminum 10 gal cell and all lines and fittings are AN with black nylon line.
The drive train is fresh, motor, trans and wiring have about 10 miles on them and 2 very easy 1/8th mile passes. All body work and paint was done 3 years ago.
The car is plated and street legal in Michigan.
It is in Michigan now in heated storage and shipping can be arranged at an additional fee.
