8 1/4 to 8 3/4 swap... Brake tee, vent tube?

How important is the vent tube on the 8 3/4. My break lines fit from my 8 1/4 but the brake tee bolt is solid. Use what I have or get the right stuff and do it the right way?

Used an 8.25 T on my 8.75. works just fine.

I did use a vented bolt though.

Can I put the gear oil where the break to bolt is, or is there a place on the third member to fill it?

Yes there is a npt style filler plug on the third member.

Don't use the vent hole or you'll never get the level right.
