Hi, Need help!!!! Can anyone tell me if I can pull the oil pan off a 74 dart without pulling the engine? I need it for my 340 rebuild and don't want to spend half a day jacking and removing the bolts only to have it hung up on the pump pickup: Can it be wrestled out of there?? Thanks for any help, Your Mopar brother Walt[/COLOR]. :tool: PS A new one is 50.00 at auto zone.

I did it with my 340 still in the car. If I remember correctly, the only thing that will have to be removed is the center link and maybe the starter. You'll have to wiggle a little bit to get it down, but it can be done.

centerlink and likely headers will need to come out. sealing it will be a whole nother issue, pita! but it can be done.

I did it just like ElephantKiller said, removed the centerlink and starter and came right out.
