i figured i may as well put all the updates in one place so here is goes...

here it is a the day we brought it home november 2011 . not bad.. still small bolt drums all the way around. sitting way to high and a boring *** 6cyl in it. runs great have driven this thing all over but man is it boring..

first thing we did was put rear seat belts in it so we could take rylee places with us.. no idea why they were taken out at some point...

then a set of digi-tails because jamie loved them on my dart...

after this it was just drive it, routine maintenance and keep it clean..

next was the rear.. had the 8 3/4 laying around from my yellow car and decided to put that in... bolt in deal.. used 2" lowering blocks until i could buy new springs... looked a lot better lower..

out with the tiny 7 1/4 rear..

8 3/4 all ready to go in.

that looks so much better under there.. :)

i had gathered the parts to rebuild and convert the front end to disc. so the weekend after i did the rear we tackled the front end..the drum brakes scared the hell out of jamie. she just wasn't comfortable with them.. i thought it stopped pretty good and straight with the drums but nothing compared to the disc that is on it now...

went with 1" torsion bars, adjustable upper arms and strut rods... also used all moog parts up front..

Nice car! I liked the stance in the 1st picture. Oh, did you buy a complete kit for disc brakes up front? If so, from where and how much?

Nice job Joe, as usual. Hang onto that 7.25 rear. If you want to sell it off, let me know. I'll hang onto it for the "next" project!

next step was to get rid of those horrible rally wheels...

jamie wanted to keep the body color steel wheels with red line doggies on it.. i didn't like only 4.25 back space on the stock 15x7 wheels so i ordered new 15x7 wheels with a 4.5" backspace from wheel vintiques. good looking quality wheel.. if i did it over again i'd go with a 4.75 backspace though.. i think it would look a little better...

then i had to save to get them painted. had to have them done before carlisle 2015 (a month and a half away). the shop did a nice job getting close with the color i think.. the shine with the modern base clear i think throws the look off a hair.. in the sun that look a lot closer.

no it was all used 73-up parts i had gathered over the years...
lol.. i couldn't stand it looking like a 4x4. i liked that when i was younger but prefer it low now..

i'll sell it off along with the drum brakes i have from it.. they are laying out in the tent..

so we took it to carlisle in 2015 set up like it was.. put over 700 miles on it that week.. hit dutch wonderland, Hershey park and then carlisle mopar show.. it handles and stops so much better. jamie actually drive it now..lol

so the week after carlisle i ordered new rear springs... i got a set of eaton springs... i think i need maybe a 1/2" lowering block still.. still sits a little too high for me in the rear... man did they firm up the rear end. now i think the 1" torsion bars are too soft.. i'll put a sway bar up front before i decide if i need to change torsion bars..

so that was it for a year.. a couple months ago i stumbled onto an engine for it.. ken (physixx here) had built a 360 for a customer and then the customer decided he wanted a 408. we struck a deal up that we were both comfortable with and we now had a 360 for the dart.. can't wait to get this thing in... going to be so much more fun to drive..

i wan't to make this one look kinda stock under the hood so i bought a set of 340 manifolds a while back from a member here. have had a stock 340 air cleaner laying here from my yellow car too.. sent them all out for coating about a year ago.. they now look awesome in my opinion..

so now the motor swap is priority. i want it in by the and of aug beginning of sept. i want to take it to ocean city md in oct with the 360 in it.. plus i want to put some miles on it before i take it the three hours there.

so i have been picking up OT whenever i can and ordering parts like crazy..

trans is out getting freshened up, rad is out getting recored as i type this. hopefully have them both back next week... that will be it for the expensive stuff. then its the little crap that adds up..

Oh it will get a sway bar. Just not sure if it will be that one. Better shocks are on the list but down the road a ways.

not sure what ya mean. they go on like they go on my factory rim..

For some reason, the wheels I got from WV are a little tough to get the caps on. Almost like the spacing between the lugs is further. I had to sand them down a bit to make them work. The caps I have went on the factory rims just fine. I must gotten a couple odd ones.
