Convertible seat side panel repair.

So I'm thinking to myself, the side panels are plastic. I wonder if I can fix them. I need to come up with some sort of a plastic welder and I don't have any plastic, wait right at my feet is that broken printer I forgot to throw out. 2 hours later the rough work is done. The best part is I welded them with a $10 battery powered soldering iron! I can't believe it worked!

A couple weeks ago I did some repair work on mine to. I used the plastic welder, but hats off to you for using what you have!! That's the fun and exciting part of doing it yourself.

Finish. Missing tails built, ugly speaker holes gone. Texture matched. Rough area on top one is hidden by rear seat.
 
Very nice. I will need to do similar repairs, and will use this as reference.
