Here's pics of all of the casting numbers and the cracked bearing retainer.
The seller said the insides looked good and I took the input shaft off and the bearings and shaft itself look to be in good shape.
Thanks for the info. Should I be able to see the gears if I take the side plate (where the linkage is) off? I am going to drain all the fluids and reseal it this weekend. I felt like I was so close, but I still have to buy a shift lever, clutch, flywheel, clutch fork, and I just ordered a Lakewood bell housing. Lakewood MOPAR Big BLOCK 440 426 400 383 HEMI BELL HOUSING SCATTER SHIELD | eBay. Hopefully I can have engine/trans complete by May 1st. Then off to do the rear end...
This guy?

I'm not sure if I'll need it with the scatter shield but I will for sure be checking out the spring fling. I am just down the street in the valley.
I already bought the scatter shield. There seems to be only 1 big block scatter shield available, which is the lakewood/quick time (both are made by Holley from what I can tell). I didn't get the diameter of the bearing retainer, but once I get it I can measure and buy the necessary adapter.Yea.
You most likely will need one of these adapter rings:

Or
Adapter Rings | Passon Performance | Get your SHIFT together!
That trans you bought was only behind small block abodies. It has the smaller 4.35 OD bearing retainer diameter that mate with the hole at the back of the scatter shield/bellhousing.
Did you buy that eBay scatter sheild? Did the seller tell you what the trans side hole diameter was?
