Cool stuff!
I hadn't seen the "Canadian" convert Valiant before.
I also like the rear window on the "Hairy Canary", it looks like the air brake on a WW2 dive bomber.

There is a guy here in nc,named Billy West Peedin,he dug up the 43jr drag car.I had heard rumors that for some reason the king buried the little cuda drag car after an accident concerning a child. It is pretty mangled up,because i think richard ran over it with a bull dozer quite a few times before he buried it.Its ben unearthed a few years now,and theres still alot of redclay packed in the rollbars, but you can definitly see the famous Petty blue paint here and there.

Has anyone seen them? They had a DartCharger in the Dercember issue of 1965 Modern Rod. Beautiful car.

Anyone recall the driver's name for that Garlits Dart?? I'm thinking it was a guy from Oklahoma who earlier ran an Allison V-16 Airplane motored dragster. He brought it to the Golden Triangle Dragstrip outside Beaumont, Texas, and dragged the bottom out of the oil pan on the hump where the staging lane turned into the burnout area. DAY-UMMM it was LOUD!!!
