    Be warned:

December 2015 I had them rebuild my transmission. (2002 F350 4x4 Diesel 4r100) Told them I wanted the upgraded clutch packs, valve bodies, torque converter, synthetic fluid, etc. Paid just south of $3,000.

Shortly thereafter my brother's 2004 F150 4x4 5.4L tranny went. We had no reason to avoid the scumbags at Limerick yet, so my brother took his truck there. Long story short, they unsuccessfully rebuild his transmission 2x, and bought a junkyard transmission which also got rebuilt 2x before the truck was driveable. In that period (6 MONTHS) my brother ended up buying another truck, and sold the 04 F150 to some poor soul.

Well, last month, under 2 years and less than 20k miles the transmission in my F350 crapped out. Sensing that they would try to screw with me, I checked the fluid level before I brought it to them, and VIDEO RECORDED IT. Found my warranty paperwork (3-year/36k miles) and brought it to them. They took it for a test drive, and assured me "no problem, it will be covered under warranty." 2 weeks later they call me to let me know it was "3 quarts low and will not be covered." I told them that is bullshit, I checked it, video recorded myself checking it, and they were lying. They then decided to say it was leaking fluid. It was not. They then said the owner was out of state on vacation. He may be, but I doubt it. I told them that I will take them to court if they don't fix it at chich time the argument became heated and I ended up hanging up on them.

    AVOID THESE SCUMBAGS!!!!!!

Take your video and your warrantee and go get em.
Also while you are at it report the incident to the BBB.
Personally, I would argue that the multiple failures to build a reliable working trans lends to the thought that you can never trust it.

Mike, as you can see with this post I'm dealing with some other crap right now, I really don't have the $$$ to spend on projects. Right now I need to find a new transmission for my plow truck.

        Dr. Steve in Manchester NH.
Builds all of my transmissions and rear ends.
He builds Allisons for Duramax's that push 3000 HP for pulling and racing.

Reliable Transmission and Ford in the same sentence? Hmm that can't be right. We rarely see Ford trucks used for plows here. Mostly Chevy and Dodge...

        Nuff said!

We're not far from each other, so you know the snow can be a lot or very little. My dad always used a chevy 2500 4x4 v8. Never let him down. The company bought brand new Ford's cause they got a deal. Out of the 3 trucks, only 1 lasted the winter. They promptly went back to Chevy's....

I had it narrowed down to 4 different vehicles
        (In order)
        Trailduster
        Recharged
        Broncos
        K5 blazer

I wanted something that could plow and double as a family hauler/tow vehicle

The Broncos was all I could find after months of searching...maybe I should have searched a little longer

I knew there was a reason I didn't like that pump-drive system. I like the Dodge lug-drive better; at least it doesn't tend to distort the pump gear. But.....in the end, I guess it's the same/similar cost to to fix either failure. It just seems easier to replace a TC if it splits a hub. IDK.
        I just like Mopars! YEAH!

i was really hoping to find a mopar in that body (2 door SUV, whatever you call it, you know the kind) but they just dont seem to be around

oh well, its a decent looking truck and the kids like it
i guess whoever pulled the engine last killed the tranny by putting it back in wrong and im sure they would have killed a 727 aswell if it had been a trailduster

Yeah, my first plow truck was a Ram. Blew the tranny at 3 years old and 68k miles. Not to mention everything else in the front end.

My next door neighbor's Ram truck went at 64k miles.

        I don't think it's a model-specific problem...Although my Ford lasted 136k on a stock tranny...

Are you thinking that damage occurred during an install? I'd have to disagree, respectfully. It looks like shock damage to me..... I haven't seen that kind of thing before,so.......Jus my opinion.
        Plus I don't work on Fords, ptoui,.......much.

my mechanic thought the damage was due to the torque converter not being properly in when they mated the trannie to the engine
im not sure, if i thought i could fix it i wouldnt have sent it off

the previous owner did mention he used to run it at silver lake (sand dunes) so it might have been abused

My impression is that yes, someone tried to mount the trans up w/o the converter engaged in the pump gear, the marks on the face of the pump gear are 180 deg apart
& not consistent with a material failure of the gear. As I stated in another thread diy posted that in, a couple of guys that hung w/Us did the same to a 340 'cuda 727, and
actually ran it for a short time(making all kinds of noise!). One of them admitted having trouble getting the trans to "go on the pins" all the way,LOL, I asked " did You
have any trouble getting it off?". "No". Now add to this the Ford has studs on the converter to line up in the flexplate as You install the damn thing & I can see this done
by an amateur easily. As said in the other thread, it's been said a bazillion times, if the trans won't go well over the pins/sleeves by hand.....never use the bolts to "draw
            it in"........somethings not right.................
