Getting ready to order wheels and tires for my 71 Demon. Cars mini tubbed leaf springs relocated to frame. Rear end will be narrowed to suit wheels and tires. Looking at Two sizes first is 28x12x15 tread width 10.4, second 26x12x15 tread width 10.6. Do not want to modify wheel lip or front or rear wheel opening. Rear end will be in stock location. Just need some guidance and pictures if possible. I did a lot of searching and wasn't able to find specifics. Thank you all in advance.

If it's relevant the springs are SS. Thanks.

The 26x12x15 should fit no problem at all, you should have a TON of space. I have 295/35/18's on the back of my Duster in the stock wheel tubs. 1/2" spring relocation and 1/4" trim on the quarter lip. But those have a tread width of 11.1". With the mini tub you won't even need to get within an inch of the quarter.

I'm not sure the 28" tall tire will work with the stock axle location. If I remember correctly, that's why the race springs move the axle back a 1/2", so 28" tires would clear the front corner. I'd offer measurements off my car, but the AFCO springs I'm running push the axle back a little, so I'm probably closer to a 1/2" back than I am stock.

Here's mine with the 295/35/18's. 11.1" tread width, 26.1 tall. On 18x10's with a 7" backspace, I have a '68 B body rear 54 15/16" flange to flange, 42" c-c on the perches.

If the car has tubs and relocated springs why not go with a wider rear tire?
I have 295/50/15 on a 8" rim. Should went wider, but now I'm looking at 18's.
