Had a rev-limiter in my 4-speed '65 bracket car back in the '70's which had Chrysler electronic ignition upgrade. The aftermarket rev-limiter I had in my glove box was a small gray metal box with a dial switch on it. To test it, I would set it at 3000 RPM and rev the motor ... it would limit RPM to that speed. Then I would set the dial permanently for 6500 (but I would not test it there). My power shift points were 6000 RPM and then on a good run it hit about 6400 at the finish line.

Any way, I have another small block now, but with the Pertronix billet distributor. What should I consider using for a rev-limiter? Thank you.

do you need an ignition box with that distributor? or is it ready to run all in the distributor?

i have been experiencing a lot of pertronix failure on the british cars lately,( at our british vintage repair shop)
i no longer install them , i have the client buy them so if the thing craps out , they have to get the warranty.
i think they are using cheap china electronic and they create problems ,
