SAND-CASTING: For those of you who love the Unnecessary

-
Cool. I have been studying how to cast things with aluminum. I have an idea for electric side mirrors for our old A-bodies plus some Art Deco switch and socket plates for the house.

Made a giant (8") C-clamp in shop class in HS via sand casting. I even turned the threaded portion in a lathe. I used that sucker for a decade, every day until I finally snapped it.

It's cool stuff!

I was debating on doing this exact same thing to make some one of air cleaner lids... for myself.

But have not dug much further yet.

Thanks for the link so i dont have to search as much lol

Very Informative!!! Thank You.

This WAS my favorite Sand Casting video I had seen...

But now you have helped everyone to be able to understand HOW to do it ourselves.

There is alot more steps to making a cast product then one would think.
