turbo build/ mild restore

Its been awhile since I've updated, I've been busy working on the car and regular work. I've replaced the rear quarter panels, got the entire car ready for primer. Installed front and rear hotchkis sway bars. I just ordered my rear wilwood disc brake conversion and got my axles sent out to have re drilled for the 5x4.5 pattern.

Got the body painted. The pics dont do the paint justice, its bright I'm talking stare at it too long and you will get corrected eye surgery, it harness power from the sun bright.

Now a question or opinion. Do I do the strip that goes across the trunk and rear quarters or do I do the large plymouth sticker that the superbird has.
 
Looks good, wonder if it would be to far back and position the P over the gas tube hole. But color looks awesome you did a great job.

Thanks first time with a project of this size. I'm going to play around with placement before making a final decision, just showing what I'm thinking.
 
Got my dash painting and installed, now all the wiring needs done.

update. got a new heart for the scamp. picked up a 69 340 short block. the deck has already been machined +30, orings installed, and line bored and honed. the crank was also machined to +20. came with a high performance oil pump with adjustable pickup. the piston and rods that came with it wont work for what im wanting to do with the car but they are for sale on the forum here if someone is looking for a good set of full race rods and pistons.

Yeah it been a while, I hurt my back so I've been down for a few weeks. I've decided to do some changes.
I still working on installing this new turbo its a 76mm, still need to buy a new wastegate and route it to dump under the car

I bought je pistons 10.1 compression for the 340, and I got eagle rods and crank going in it.
I have around 4' of total exhaust.

got the scamp emblem painted and decided to put in on the scoops instead of the fenders.

I rewired my headlight switch, didn't like the old knob style so they are push buttons now. the left one controls my marker lights the one next to that is the head lights. the other two are going to be the windshield wipers.

I removed the old heater system, I dont plan on driving the car in the winter but I am going to install a smaller jegs heater style system in the car. Saves some space and weight.
 
Well small update on the 340, the machine shop found a crack in the block. photobucket isn't working now or I would post a pic. So I think my new plan is to pull the 318 out and install the eagle crank, eagle h beams and buy a set of wiseco pistons for it after returning the je pistons.
 
picked up a bigger waste gate today, question is should I route it back into the exhaust or open under the car. I only have around 4' of exhaust anyway so I dont know if it will make a audio difference either way.
