After 6 years, body colored wheels!

Painted them myself (with the assistance of my great instructors at Clackamas Community College).

Removed the fender and packed it to school for the color match (thanks Russ).

Big thanks to Mark for the mounting and balancing.

Thanks Dave and Lloyd (Simple instructor brown nosing here).

Now I don't know about the look. LOL……. I may be pushing the envelope of the grandma car idea.

Now if I will just get off my butt and order a cam so I can drive it, spring weather will be here soon.

I got to tell ya it looks better. It looks real sweet with the poverty caps!

Looks great Granny!I had to throw that in there.LOL.I like them better than the spinner looking jobies you had on there. Now change the dang cam.Time for cruising soon!:glasses8:

What type of caps are those?Period correct? Are they still available to buy? Thanks, you got me thinking on these for my 68.

Sorry, didn't see this part. The Small Caps I am using are correct for 67-68 (except for 67 fastback which used the Deluxe Wheel Cover, standard......as shown in my hamtramck-historical link above). They are only available used.

looks better, would look even better if they were 15s with some 255s on the back. im not into the spokes.

I like it!! I have been contemplating having my rallye wheels powder coated blue to match my car's body color. I would have the centers powder coated black.

Im doing painted on my Cuda 15x8 on the rear with 255 redlines and 15x7 0n the front if they fit. No hubcaps on mine just chrome lugnuts.

If the wheels and tires was static balanced the wheel weights could have been placed on the inside of the wheel. Other than that I'll give you a thumbs up.

Car Looks HOT!! gives it a lil more of a muscle car look than wires...... NO granny with bottle caps..... Not sure about the rest of the USA but here in Detroit, back in those days, on the hottest cars on gratiot woodward or telegraph, you saw. bottle caps & body colored or black "steelies" OR aluminum "Slots" OR Cragar SS OR torq thrusts ( the aluminum ones with grey spokes ) ......the only wires I ever saw back then were on a seriously sweet & shaved 52 Cadillac Convertible with a "continental kit" & blue dots......and I only saw that car ONE night out on the strips...... SHe was blood red with a white interior and her wires were REAL.......dont ask me why but I will never forget that pimpmobile.... it was a looker!
