New Sm Block Milodon stock height, hi capacity, street, pro touring, road race pan!!!

-
Is this the one you used autoxcuda? I want a really good one and not have to screw with it again

I haven't got one yet. I'll probably plug it for the meantime.

I just FINAL installed my Milodon small block pro-touring road race pan in the motor tonight as a matter of fact.

I'm in the same boat, just put it on about a week ago and now I'm taking it back off so i can put a crank scraper in it.
Thought you might have your going and figured I'd ask which one you used.

Do you have pics of the install on the engine? Did you have to sorten the windage tray studs?

I don't have a windage tray. I'm using a stud girdle. This is why I'm ordering my crank scraper.
One thing I did have to do was "adjust" the pick up tube a little. Nothing to ***** about but fit perfect now.
No pictures (I really need to leave my camera in the shop so I'll use it from now on).

Carry the camera always. Get a cheapy little handy one.

Sometimes it helps you remember stuff and even see stuff you don't see at first glance.

I've got about 400 pics just on this motor build starting from the Spring Fling swap meet $300 std bare block.

These are the only pictures of my motor I have right now

It is a great pan you'll like if you get one but usE either a windage tray or crank scraper

I'll post some pictures of my up and down stroke crank scraper when I get them

Here's a couple pics of the new Milodon small block stock depth/low-profile high capacity pan on a complete motor.

What alt is on that motor? Looks like a stock bracket.?

Off a chevy nova/spectrum thing (Geo? rebadge). Remember those? I got it years ago out of the junkyard. Cool I used stock brackets I had laying around. But I did shorten the lower bracket and ground a slight bit of clearance on the altnator near the adjustment screw. I also drill the two lug holes for std size bolts. Then I tapped the lower adjustment bolt for a standard bolt so I don't have to one metric wench with me.

It's the 102mm Denso alternator: http://www.powermastermotorsports.com/denso_alternators.html

Summit is listing both pan and pickup, Pan #31590 for $383.99 and pickup # 18343 for $72.95. Not sure if it will fit in my 69 K member though. Been looking @ many different brands and styles of pans, this one looks to be the best one as far as ground clearance, extra oil capacity, and baffles.:thumrigh:

If it should fit no problem. Just know you can't install engine and tranny at the same time

I just hooked it up temporary today. Works awesome! No dim lights at idle. Voltage is super steady with RPM changes. Simple hook up.

Anybody ever figure out what it'll take to make it fit an early A?

I've got some pictures and some measurement off at 66 Cuda from underneath. It looks worth trying. I didn't see anything that screamed "NO GO"

If someone in So Cal had a 64-66 A-body k-frame, idler, V8 centerlink, steering box, pitman I could borrow...

I could have it tested for fitment and we'd know for sure.

Hey AutoX where did you get that cross over tube (on the Valve covers) for the breathers?
