Are 64 A-body lower control arms the same as a non-sway bar 1969 B-body lower control arm - I cant find any difference in any of the measurements and views I take

If you look closely at the lower pivot shaft, you will see the difference. Although I don't have a B body one here, I'll explain the difference...

The B body shaft has a longer machined flat before it starts to taper than the A body one does. I don't know off hand if the shaft is a different diameter or not, or whether you could replace the B body shaft with an A body one, but I know the shaft is machined different for sure. Maybe somebody else could chime in with an actual measurement of each shaft. That's all I can add, Geof

Yup, pivot shaft and the shock mount location are the obvious differences. Without a jig it's hard to tell about minor dimension differences.

Well when I put the A body lowers on my brothers 68 b -body the lower part of the tire was kicked out, so the A body lower control arms seem longer than the B - bodys GO FIGURE

CORRECT. A-body LCA are longer by about 1/2". Also the strut rods will not interchange from A to B/E.

...............Ya i heard u cant use the shorter B body 1s from Bill Reilley.......would make for lots of positive camber and caster though....maybe he can set us up.....kim......
