Can someone tell me if the Dutra Duels can be purchased? I heard from someone on this borad that they are being produced.

He can be reached by PM at www.slantsix.org and there are links in his articles to reach him. Great guy to work with and has castings for both the front and rear cylinders if you don't want to modify a stock exhaust manifold. They ain't cheap, but it's the last set you will ever need to buy. Hope this helps.

On that link doesnt show any contact info or price for the manifolds(mays its because i am on my phone looking).
I am wanting to buy some, not make my own. I am sure Ill need alot of special tool and welding material.
Thanks!

Yeah that kinda turned me off to um. If there's no price listed, that means they're high. If they're that high, hell you might as well go with coated headers. Ain't no manifolds gonna ever flow as good as headers. JMO.

My problem with the Dutra Duals is the BLING factor !! There is none, and that's one thing any motor I build has got to have !!I wish the hell I kept some pics of my last /6 !!

If I remember what I have heard, the front use to be a modified chevy manifold. I think now he has his own casting.

I'm locked out of the slant 6 forum and no way to contact. Tried to get logged in using the "userhelp" login with the "123456" password and that won't work . Can someone PM Dutra on my behalf and ask him to unlock me. My username is dart4forte.

You either like them or you don't but its always best to support fellow community members, rather than buying from these big companies.

Everyone always talks about how we need to quit buying crap from China and here we have a guy pretty much making them in his own backyard. Doesn't get much more American than that.

...and I agree with you a BILLION PERCENT. But he oughtta be offerin headers tool. If he can forge and weld cast iron, headers oughtta be a breeze. Some engines just need headers.

All for support, and if there were a manifold similar to his that had the WOW factor,I'd be all over it,but personally I'm all about BLING !!

Finally got my computer access issue resolved. i am going to take the plunge and buy a set of his duels. for me I'm a fan of stock manifolds on street motors especially motors that are relatively stock. Maybe because I'm a little older now and more conservitive. It looks like he makes a good alternative to headers.

Yup, you're making a wise choice. If you're not racing, Dutra Duals are usually a better option (manifold heat, automatic choke, no problems with flange warp, clearance, etc.)

Working the deal out with him as I write this. I am probably going with a duel 1 barrel setup. There's a local here that has one.
