Hello all,

I just stubbled across this site while I was looking for parts in a web search. I'm in the process of restoring the first car I bought when I was 19, which was quite a few years ago. A red 1967 Dodge 2 Dr. HT Dart GTS that I bought when it was 1.5 years old and had 16,439 miles on it. The guy I bought it from said he bought it at Mr Norms Grand Spalding Dodge which was a Chicago dealer famous for high performance cars in the 60's. I have the build sheet for the car.

It's currently in the body shop. As of yesterday they were putting the final color coat then the clear coat of paint on the main body. Doors, hood, front fenders and trunk lid off. Engine is out and rebuilt. I think it should be drivable for this summer.

Well you do know you stubbled across the best darn site there is buck:cheers:

This is my baby since I have owned it since I was 19 and it was my first car. It's been there thru a lot of girl friends, friends, etc, Well you all understand.

1967 GTS came with a 383. Mine is a 4 speed no console, 3.23 limited slip, black interior and bucket seats. It's the standard configuation for a 1967 GTS, except for auto or 4 speed. At about 25,000 miles I had removed the worn out shifter and put in a Hurst. About that time the shocks were also bad and I replaced them with something a friend recommend that I never hear of and was kind of expensive. Koni shocks. Funny thing is they are still in the car after 75,000+ miles and yikes 40+ years! Apparantly they were well worth the cost. I can post later some photos of the car.

I also have a 67 gts and have done a lot of research on the cars. I do believe they came with a fan shroud. The part should be 2785312. The shroud is very hard to find.

glad to have another 67 GTS on board. You have owned yours almost as long as I have. I bought mine new in May 67 with the help of my Dad signing for me to get it. Payments were $101.00 a month on purchase price of $2800. Hope you are still on here since this post is over 2 years old and I haven't seen this before. Is it registered in GTS Registry?Joe

Yes I'm still here. It is registed on the GTS registry. It's the second oldest GTS on the site.

Did yours come with a fan schoud? Mine didn't have one and since I bought it with pretty low miles I'm assuming it didn't come with one.

mine did not have a shroud either. There is all kinds of wrong info floating around about these cars. To be honest I have only seen one more in person and that one was sold new in my home town. It was white with black vinyl top with buckets and 4 speed. I know the guy that bought it new but no one knows what happened to it. He only kept it about a year. I outran it with my 727 to their surprise. I also surprised a lot of SS396's, GTO's, 442's and Fords. Was lots of fun back then,Joe

I haven't seen any 1967 GTS Darts in my area. Seen some 68 or 69 GTS's. One guy years ago in a gas station thought I put the GTS 383 on the car. He didn't believe me.

I saw a post for photos. Since I took these I had the radiator recored, looks like new now and replaced the battery. Still have some things to do. Headliner, back seat and dash are are original.
