I would be pretty much positive you can get them seperatly.

Try energy suspension boots. I know they sell them for tie rids and such so pitman arm should be any different. Also check the help! Aisle at your local parts store as they may have them. Or the "performance" section where they keep their aftermarket gauges and mufflers and such.

Thanks guys, spoke to energy suspension, and they dont have them, they recommended Moog. I will try them and PST as well.

They only difference between the tie rod boot and pitman arm boot would be a bigger hole and shorter skirt. So a little trimmin with a razor blade might get one to work if you cant find one thats proper to it

They have assortment packs at the parts store. You know, buy five, use one, Put the rest where you'll never find them again when you need them. Then repeat.

I used the "HELP" one. It's in a two pack with a larger boot.

Almost the same as the energy suspension tie rod boot.

Both have the same problem- they do not have the coated metal ring at the bottom that snaps on the rod end. This means the seal will not be as good and you can't puff up the boot to tell when it's full.

Only game in town, though. At least it's cheap and local.

For the record, my brand new Moog idler arm only has a foam washer, and came with a tag saying "lubricate every 2500 miles" 2500???

Again, the HELP boot available locally for about $5 is nearly identical, and there's no shipping.
....unless you just HAVE to have red.

Gonna chk the auto supplier here in town Tuesday...no need for the red...
Thanks

I got a moog idler recently, it doesn't even have a boot, its just a felt washer like YY1 said. maybe you can just grab something like that if you can't get a help boot. I'm really wondering about the felt washer but, that is probably a topic for a new thread.

yeah the foam washer would have me scratchin my noggin...

motor-mite / Help are made by Dorman. I am with the earlier post Stevenot much difference between the tie rod and pitman arm boots. might have better luck searching Dorman.
I'll pull a pitman arm off the shelf tomorrow and match it up with the single boots and send you the part number you need.
