:banghead:So today took the vert to the gas station to fuel up for the winter as I was pumping the gas this guy walks over and says why do you hot-rod guys have to cut up a good car and put a vert top on ??????????? so I look at him and say because I can and if you had the skills you would do it too LOL I thought he was just looking but,
Then he says his dad had a 65 Cuda and what a shame and a wast to take that Cuda and cut the top off ???????????
I thought I was going to wet my pants . So I finish topping off and hang the pump up and he has his son come over and he tells his son if he ever chops a car up like this he'd dis own him .?
:axe:So I had to do it I go too the trunk and pull out my 1964 shop manual and open up a show the production numbers for the V_200 and WOW his son just busted out laughing
:eek:ops: and said see I told you it was a reel vert . Then the dumb a$$ said well it looked like a chop job and walked away ?:violent1: Wow really sad just sad. A chop top Cuda?? LOL

Some people are stupid.........

I had a young kid working at a gas station say to me "nice Trans Am"........I was driving my 66 Valiant.............:violent1:

I think you are one hell of a body man, cut the top off a cuda and make a trunk, a true craftsman

Tony hit the nail on the head

I pulled my Dart Sport up in front of the beer store, went in to buy a six pack and the 20 something guy at the counter looks outside and says "hey, nice Chevelle man" He kind of stared at me when I corrected him.

I have been told nice nova and nice mustang a lot. I usually just say thanks and go on my way

My response would have been... :D
Oh, I am sorry, did you miss you shrink session today or forgot to take your meds... with a smile on :D

No, I agree, ya can't fix stupid... In Indiana or Arkansas that fellow better watch
his self, or his son will see his dad get a lip lashing for his negativity he is spreading...:violent1:
If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything at all..:happy1:
Or are you just trying to show your son how to be an @$$ hole .. and back up 5 feet you are in my safe area ya nut.. :violent1: ok I heel better now 1964 hippo :D
That is a very beautiful Valiant :happy2:

I also love how people will explain to you that the Cuda and Challenger are the same car with different stickers or emblems...

When I was in my early 20's a local wrecking yard tried to sell me door off a cuda for my challenger, he insisted they are the same and he had been selling them that way for years.
I woulnd't buy water from that airhole if I was on fire!

Got to remember this one Quote = I woulnd't buy water from that airhole if I was on fire! :D

Well, a friend of mine showed up one day in his new SSR, and I asked him if it had a Hemi in it just to rub his nose in it.

My dad and I have been driving in his 68 charger and a guy yelled out nice challenger and walks over "What year is that?" Its a 68 "Wow really? My dad had a Challenger that looked just like that back in the day" Just smile and walk away wondering how many times he was dropped as a child since it says charger on the c pillar

I was filling up my 64 Valiant vert a couple of days ago and a guy walks over and says, "Nice car." So i thanked him and kept filling. He walks up and down the length looking it over and then says, " Does it have the 389 Tri-power in it?" I said, "Nope, It's a Mopar." His response was, "Well, that ol' aluminum 215 is a great engine anyway." At that point I just shook my head......

the kids at auto zone are constantly drooling over my 360 powered nova
