What are your favorite NON MOPAR cars?

if I wasn't buying a mopar ( like it'll ever happen lol) but I would get one of these
this is going to be auctioned off not far from here in June:

'56, with 28,857 miles on it according to their website.

high-mileage, compared to the '57 Buick with 978 miles...and the '65 Mustang fastback, 289 4speed, with 15,116 miles (drool)

I always considered myself as a man of all makes, I have an 87 Mustang I drive daily. I also come from a family of aircooled Vw people so there are a few of those I would certainly own. Nothing is more valuable than a cool old Mopar to me though!

My fav non Mopar is a 65 Mustang fastback. The one I own is a pristine rust free, one owner car that is wrecked in the front end. Original owner hit a cow! Everything from the windshield back is nice, original.

I have all the n.o.s. parts to repair it. ...someday

Heres a couple of my non Mopar favorites.

My top that I hope to own sooner than later is a mid 1990s F350 Quad Cab long box 4x4 with the 7.3 Powerstroke.

I know Ill probably get some flack for this one but hear me out. Another favorite car of mine is the Geo Metro 1.0 3 cyl, 5 speed. I had one of these for a few years and it was hands down the most reliable car I have ever owned, its basic transport at its finest, super easy to service, all around cheap to own, and motorcycle fuel economy at 50 mpg!

doesn't sound like you're serious about fixing it. Maybe I should make a road trip down there and pick it up

:D
seriously- get at it!!! lol

Front Wheel Drive Mid 80's GM V6. They are awesome demo derby cars and after one or two derby s you can parallel park them in the smallest of spots. :burnout:

Sorry for this one but its the redneck in me

91-96 GM B Bodies. Preferably a black 96 Impy SS. currently own 2, a 95 wagon and a 96 ex squad (now parts) car. both obviously have the LT1 corvette engine.
65-67 Impala fast back coupes
68-71 AMX
70-72 Camaros (also the only camaros I like other than the new one)
49 Caddy Sedanette
85/71 GNX/GSX turboed v6 and a luxo barge with 550 lb/ft of torque. both total sleepers = awesome
73 SD-455 with the 4 speed in Brewster Green. my parents had a 74....for a week.
TVR Sagaris
*note the absence of Ford products. They do have some really cool cars, but none of them speak to me except the GT(40) That's the only 2 cars I like from them, and really it's just one car and it's modern interpretation

If I wasn't redoing mom and dads 65 cuda it would be a 1953-54 studebaker commander 2 dr hardtop or coupe. I think they had the lead on styling at that time.

My Favorite would have to be a 59 rambler which i do own one. Its just way different than the rest and you rarely Rarely see them on the road! but other than that pretty much any other 60s to mid 70s muscle cars and 50s classic cars.

Im mopar 1st but that being said there are more fords i like than chevys. i own other than my mopar stuff a 72 galaxie and really like most years of them mostly the 60s but mine was dirt cheap and its problems are easy fixes with minimal body work needed. also like the falcons and fairlains and most of fords older stuff cars and pick ups. most amc cars but around here they are rare as hens teeth. cj5 and cj7 jeeps and the old willys . I have a 79 malibu wagon thats a factory 4speed v8 car only reason i bought it really . there are a few gm's i like but im tired of seeing them . around here everyone has gm mostly chevy and while they are good looking cars and cheap to build ive seen just about everything done to them that can possibly be done .Its always 350 this or 454 that or 383 stroker and i dont even look at them much at the shows anymore . But if i had to pick another car other than mopar to build it would a 34 ford 5 window with a flat head v8 and wide whitewall tires and full fenders keep it all old school n cool just to be different. the only ones of the 3 or 5 window fords i see around here have 350 chevys , boring.
As far as my malibu goes well ive got a muncie close ratio 4 speed to swap in place of the saginaw and a 327 waiting in the corner to be rebuilt again old school with a way to lumpy cam and huge carb , why ? because its cheap fun it sounds cool and i can . But money is the object right now so like everything else itll have to wait till i can because i want to know the galaxie out of the way 1st since it needs the least .

This is my fair weather daily driver - at least until I get 65 Dart convertible finished.

'65 Chevy Corvette Sting-Ray split window coupe in silver.
'65 Shelby Cobra red with yellow racing stripes.
'69 Mustang Boss 351
'67 GT500
'65 Chevy Malibu Wagon
'72 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser
'64 Ford Fairalane Thunderbolt (427-4 speed factory slicks)
'65 Ford Falcon
'57 Chevy Belair
'70 Chevelle SS

Car I most wanted to build when I wrote this: '63 Galaxie 500 with a 429 Cobra Jet and a Tri-Power intake. A keisler 5-speed would work greak behind it.
