Here's a TV/Stereo stand I built from scratch just because I was bored. It's made of scrap 2x4's I found in the garage rafters of a house I was renting years back.

Cabinets I restored for the garage. They are 40's-50's vintage units the landlord tore out. He gave them to me for nothing. I took them with me when I moved and now they hold all my welding stuff... masks, gloves, strikers, tips, etc.

This is my welding bench, 100% steel. My neighbor (great guy, he's like a 85 year old Tim Taylor) had built this 30 years ago and just no longer had a use for it. I think I paid him 75 bucks for it? It's made of 3/8" steel plate and is so heavy I had to use my engine hoist to right it after cleaning it for painting. It sits right under my aforementioned cabinets and he gave me a vise for it too.

Thanks seabee and I agree, great thread with a bunch of great ideas. I like moparmatt's removable vise on square tube set up.

Just moved in last month.My bench is stainless on wheels out of a Pizza Hut.Got a fridge,microwave and 220 heater.:blob:

Seabee looks like you have way more tool storage than i do. Most of my tools are piled on top of each other in the.drawers. My tool cabinet at work is the neat one lol. I am envious of your drawer space.
Denney your setup looks like you have been there for years. My pix are of my working shop, where i do a lot of body work, welding, and fabricating. I prob should take some pix of the garage attached to the house. Its got my memorabilia on the walls, models displayed,.and a 4 lane HO slot car layout in it. The slot car setup folds up on one wall so you can get 2 cars in there.
Ramcharger your shop looks great too. I wish i had a bunch of mopar nut friends who lived close enough to be able to hang out n drink beer, and wrench on our cars.
I cant wait till my cuda is done so i can park it next to my mustang. But the fun for me is the rebuilding part. I usually get bored with em once they r done. So im taking my time with the cuda.

This is my workbench (I have a small shop) It's a big oldschool semi trailer I found. It was incredibly difficult to get in the door, but as you can see, I have something sitting on it. It's just a whatever project. Don't worry about it.

What kind of boat is that you are restoring. Is it an old mahogany chris craft? I appreciate woodworking as an awesome craft since its not part of my skill set.
Is it a sail boat, or a powerboat? If a powerboat what kind of engine is going in it?

Glad you asked. That is a one of a kind 1947 Hacker-Craft boat. It is 42 feet long, and as my second job, I do antique wood boat restorations. There is literally only one of these in existance and that's it right there. For a similar idea of what it will look like, look up the boat "Thunderbird" that resides in lake tahoe. Then just imagine it without all the metal on top. Thunderbird is a larger boat, but the same streamlined shape. They called it a Hacker Streamliner. And yes it is all Mahogany, except for the frame which is Oak and Ash, with redwood to mount interior stuff. We do all boats period correct, and my dad judges the Concourse D' Elegance at Lake Tahoe every year. My favorite projects were always the Cobras. There is very few of them left in Existance made by Chris-Craft, and about 4 of them went through our shop. I love Cobras. Here's one:
What kind of motor? Haha. Glad you asked. A $40,000 WWII Supercharged Spitfire Mustang motor made by Rolls Royce. It spikes about ~1200hp and has been built to go. I suspect this giant boat will do a good 70-80mph out on the water, or so I would hope...:burnout:

If the client wants a totally correct boat for show, we send it off to get rebuilt, and they are slow as hell... But if they want something to play with, we have installed Ls1's, Nascar bred LS motors, a Viper 10, and a few other toys, as well as aircraft motors.

I used to live in new jersey years ago. Used to vacation in upstate new york. There was a lake we used to go camping at. Dont remember the name. There was a guy that must have lived on the lake. Had a chris craft runabout. Had double cockpit and double windshields kinda like a '29 model A touring convertible, phaeton but without the top.
I love the old wooden boats. My friends dad had an old wooden power boat he kept at a boat club in bayonne N.J. It was a 1929 knudsen power boat. He told me knudsen made mostly sail boats, and this was only one of 7 power boats they made. It had a head, and galley in it, it was very well cared for. I believe he dry docked it and had the bottom fiberglassed.
Very nice cabin cruiser, it also had a mopar marine 318 in it.
