Not long ago i was slammed for a shipping cost , for a part i sold on this site ... The purchaser of the part was MORE than happy with the part he received .. From what i gathered from his private messages .. the part was better than described .. WHICH ulitmately was my primary goal during the transaction .. IF the guy would of wanted me to take the part back and give ALL his money back .. i would of done that NO questions asked .. BUT he didn't ... HMMMM sounds like it was a sweet deal to me on his part ....
I did not reply on that blog because i felt that i did not need to defend my reputation , and/or fuel the fire even more . I am not here to cause waves on a site i have been enjoying for a long time
I know what i paid for shipping .. just because he thinks i paid a price does not necessarily make it correct .. Come to find out while reading on MOPARTS .. seems like other people shipping from US to Canada are experiencing same issue ...
Thanks for letting me vent .
Have a GOOD weekend !

The other day I was at our local post office getting a quote for shipping an item to Canada. The agent who is a sub contractor informed me that USPS has jacked shipping charges to Canada to over 300% in some cases. The small item I wanted to ship came to $55. Holy Cow!!!! Has anyone else experienced this?

I've send multiple t-shirts to Canada

I've found that it runs about + 40%

USA might be like $8.00, there its about $13.00

Not %300 but, the packages are small I declare no value

I think the key here and as posted on moparts they say the AGENT said the usps has jacked their price. That is what is not true. You, as well as those on moparts got scammed by this AGENT. Had you taken the package to the actual post office or used the website it would have been what it said on the meter strip displayed on the outside of the box. I suspected this from the start, these "shipper services" places make their living simply marking up standard USPS rates. Even the most common one the UPS store formerly Mail Boxes ETC, doubles the actual USPS price to make money and make their parent company UPS look like a better deal.

So I get it, your trying to defend the amount you over charged? I made a post in the other thread about all you had to do was present a copy of the receipt the Post Office gives you when you ship an item and the issue would be cleared up. I know now that was your intent, you meant to make a profit on the shipping. Ok I'll block you now so I don't sucked in later buying a part from you.

sure took a long time to come up with that one. a picture of the actual receipt would have put it to rest immediately

Nothing to defend .. NOTHING to prove .... deal is done ... I will buy again and sell again ... Your choice not to deal with me ... BUT you will when you need what i have ... just like the last member .

Hold your breath on that one. Your right on one thought, I'm done, over and out.

Set it straight, did you or did you not make money off of the shipping?

wow!! all we would have needed was a picture of the receipt from the post office you say you had to pay....
easy to take pictures to sell but to hard to produce any evidence to clear this up :-k So, what are we to believe about your honesty :wack:

I want to comment on my Moparts post that was quoted. First, the agent I referred to was a USPS employee. The site I shipped from USPS is using as a sub-station. Upon checking further it seems that shipping containers are receiving greater scrutinity at the Canadian side of the border. I assume that some shipments are not proceeding forward due to additional duty and or postage and that USPS is having to collect the changes in the shipping.

Just had to say this and for those of you looking for a verbal fight, lets just say I don't have a dog in this fight and it's up to the OP to clear things up.

Wow.... pretty cocky eh? Don't count on many people here knocking on your door for parts with that attitude!

Real simple....if you want to make money on a part, ask more for the part, don't be deceptive about the shipping cost. P.S. I've been to detroit, he could have driven to windsor,Ca. and shipped it cheaper, I've heard of many border town deals where the seller took a short drive and pocketed a huge profit off the difference!

You read the thread..what? 2 weeks ago.You didn,t reply then and now you try to blame it on cross border shipping?:wack: We know you got a reciept when you shipped the item,so lets see it.This way we,ll know who,s telling the truth about costs.
