I have an idea. Seems like always reading about people complaining about being too far away for cars and parts they want to buy. Why don't we all pick a state to live in and we'll all be close to all the deals we want. No more shipping cars and parts. We could trade, buy and sale our hearts out. Just another moment of my twisted mind at work.

I'm in, but I'd need three jobs to pay for all the cars and parts! :)

I'll trade a house in "Rust Free" Arizona, for a house in OK temporarily.
Been seeing some good deals on body parts out there.
Surely someone wants an AZ car and 90 days should be enough.

Say, 3 months then? :D

No smog or smog laws here, and you could just keep it registered at this address from then on and never have to worry about smog chks.

There are several states with no inspections, SC,OK,TN,FL,and there are a lot of others pick one.

TN sounds good. Thunder mountain Dragway and I'm sure the winters aren't like New England.

Good luck getting a consensus, LOL.

For me most any NE state is out, as is the Dakotas, and maybe Montana and the N end of Idaho where I live. (winters)

Out for a variety of reasons are WA, OR, CA, most any of the S which includes FL, and any other state with a bunch of stupid (and anti gun) laws I don't wanna live in Utah, and none of the states bordering the great lakes.

AZ is attractive at first, if you don't mind having a nuclear powered AC unit, and the populated areas DO have smog laws which (stupidly) go back to at least 67 -- cars which were never intended nor never had any smog controls, unless sold in CA

(A reminder to you AZ guys, you need to work on getting these stupid laws recinded. Just how much smog can "a few" old collector cars, driven very infrequently generate??)

Ok, so now that "we" have eliminated about 70 % of the US what's left, LOL?

So much for a simple plan. LOL! I agree no snow, no emissions.

Fl. doesn't have a bunch of anti gun laws. But it is to damn hot in the summer. If I had my choice Some where around Tn. or Ky.

Hey Del, it's not bad at all where I live in AZ.
It snows about 4 inches on average in the winters, and gets up to a hundred or so in the warmest months.
Swamp coolers work great because the humidity is really low.
I'm at about 5,000 ft elevation right on the edge of national forest.

Friend of mine and his extended family lived their entire lives in Ohio. He's "done" with it, retiring, and is moving to one of the Carolinas (South?)

Where I live in Oregon, we rarely if ever get snow and in the summer we too get warm sometimes 110 plus, today it was 91. Our elevation is 900 ft.

Ky........................don't have any of that crap here. just wild horses and fast women.

Why not make a new state. Call it Mopar. It would start in the Dakota's head south down through Kansas then head east towards South Carolina and then south again to end around Melborne in Florida. It would be no wider than 150 miles at any given place and would not include any large cities. It would also have lots of straight flat divided highways just for cruising in 1/4 mile bursts.

Jack

we are focused on the states ....but what about anywhere in Canada .....

im about ready to pack up and move to Canada .....some of the nicest ppl to me are Canadians and i like what i see in pics over there .....wish it was a bit warmer but i can live with the cold if ppl are going to be nice .....right now i see it as a promise land and mopars are plentiful there ....only in Canada i see the only scamp with bucket seats (factory!!!) i have ever seen in my life.

i am applying for a VISA to cross the border this summer to go to Moparfest....if Canada lets me in then i can see first hand if its what i think it is :prayer::prayer:

Why stop there. Let's make a new country.

Yes I like Canada but BRRRR!!! Plus I'm tired of putting my car in storage for the winter. Plus I don't have a garage to at least work on it in the winter. I do like the spring pulling the car for the first time is like Christmas. The first start up and cruise is mind blowing. Good luck with your VISA hope it works out for ya.

Ky! It's a great place to live! The only inspections is the VIN and no anti gun laws!!

And then name the counties (duster county), (dart county) (valiant county), (barracuda county)

I would think that a Mopar state would be a no brainer . Just take over Hawaii and cruise in warm weather 12 months of the year. Don't let any chev's or fords on the island and it truly would be perfect!
