Well I have a B&M quick silver shifter. I didnt like the shifter arm so i made my own and installed it.

well the b&m shifter cover is *** ugly. so i am making my own from scratch.

its is going to be a steel frame with carbon fiber inlays. here are the pics of the start of the build.

I am super proud of the bends i made with the steel stock. it all ended up fitting perfect.

Ya know, bud, you should hire yourself out for some of this stuff.

thanks. the frame is going to be powder coated silver and then the carbon fiber will be the high gloss.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. I really enjoy these little projects. I have the most basic of hand tools and my ways are pretty primitive. I love it when somebody notices my work and asks me where I bought it. Feels good to stand back and see something you created from just an idea. This forum board is a constant motivator and I thank you all for that.

got a little more work done over the weekend. here are some pics,

sorry about the crappy cell phone pics

the carbon fiber is here! going to powder coat the frame tonight and then start on the carbon fiber install. keep your eyes peeled. lol

last night i got the frame powder coated. ended up going with a silver. its got a light flake to it and looks alot like raw aluminum. i then got half of the carbon fiber inlays done. starting to look pretty trick i think.

Outstanding job younggun2.0, that is a piece of art

i have a lazer cut mopar "M" that will go on the side of the big end once i get it all done. I kind of copied the B&M shifter cover for the pro stick. it looks goofy turned around. i tried it.

where's the cup holder? Just kidding great work! Looks very professional. I'm the same way as far as primitive tools go. But the way I look at it, If I can make it and make it cheaper than it costs for someone else to make it, Then i'm all aboard :)

Not a fan of carbon fiber personally, but you, my friend, make it look good. I have enjoyed all the photos you have posted, and hope to attempt some of your artistry on my Duster.

I was under my car today and saw the super cool fender supports that you built for me!! You my friend have skills!

right on man. glad you like them. i need to win the lotto so i can quit my job. then get some real tools and start building really cool ****. I watch those chopper shows and they have all kinds of crazy machines. if i had a 3 axis cnc machine i would never leave the garage.
