Are '67 Barracuda heater controls different than a '68. We have a '68 with a '67 dash and the heater controls don't fit right?

Yes sir they are different. Even the length of those slots in the bezels are different.
Wouldn't work right even if it did bolt up the same.

Thanks guys, so to get this right we need to either change the heater controls and heater box to a '67 or get the right '68 dash for the car. But the mount for the heater control may be different and the '67 might not fit. Time to lose the heater!
Thanks again.

Red, wouldn't he actually just need the metal part of the gauge cluster frame for a 68? The wiper switch alignment slot is slightly different from what I recall but will work, All else should work fine?

In either rally or standard panels the metal that supports the climate controller and the bezel are different.
This is why while developing the D.I.N. friendly rally panel I had to buy one of every example. Only way to insure it would work in all applications.
Took 4 tries to get this pic to upload then it went twice LOL

This explains why my heater controls are bass-ackwards, on my 67.
I`ve just been living with it, on=off, off=on. This blew my mind, could`nt figure what was going on and just gave up:thumblef:

OK waaaay down under the dash on the case is a little bracket where the cable sheathe is secured. If it is to the left of door lever and operates backward, simply relocate it equal distance right of the door lever.

Wonderful. While I am in the process of bringing my 68 drag fish back to street I bought a 67 cause it had a nice interior. I was gonna use the 67 heater box and buy a 68 bezel. Looks like it isn't that simple.

DeMonDIN rally panel mod solves all these problems. I'm just days away from backlighting the A-body rally bezels too. First 3 prototype kits are in customers hands. :)
