Looking to trade for or towards a 71 Demon (71 Duster, 68-69 Barracuda, 68-71 roadrunner, 68-70 charger, 67 gtx trades considered as well). The swinger is an extremely solid car that sat in a garage since 1973 with the original blown engine. Im 1st to have it on the rd since. Has a fresh 70 non #s 340. Runs and goes very strong. Was a little dusty when photos were taken. Cleans up and looks awesome for a 10 yr old paint job. No bubbles anywhere. This is a true 50K mi. panel car. Have lots of #s parts to go w/ it. Carb., radiator, intake, exhaust manifolds, radio & bezel, better heater bezel, and a date correct very very close to #s block w fresh 69 X heads. Very fun, clean car. PM for more details, and what you got to trade. I guess after 10 yrs Im kinda getting bored w it. I shouldn't be, but am.

Don't have a Demon .. but would you consider selling out right?
I would if I had a car in mind to buy. I have had this old girl for 10 yrs now. The 4 gears are an absolute blast to drive. New centerforce duel friction, fresh 3:55 posi w moser axles, all new brakes. Runs 180 degrees all day w 60 lbs oil pressure warm. It is a 10.2:1 340 with ported 2:02 J heads. MP .284/.484cam, LD340, holley 750dp, 2 1/4 stainless exhaust w flowmaster 40s. Fun little cruiser This is a real LM23P9 E55 D21 car. vin, fender tag, radiator support, and trunk rubber #s all match. Has the correct D21 torque boxes front and rear.

Looking for st/strip car. No interest and my 416 727 will be going into this original 4 SPD car. Hate to twist her up, but that is the way I'm leaning, if no takers on a trade soon

Really looks nice. Reminds me of my 70 340 swinger I sold. Hate myself. Funny the way your thinking of going. I have a 68 340 formula s with a 727 I now am thinking of converting to a 4 speed. Just bored and there just isnt a lot of cars to choose from any more.

How about we just do a car trade f some sort.

Guess I'll keep her. Soon to have a drive train transplant. Will be a 416 727 w a caltrac set up. So much for my 3404spd plate. Didn't want to, but I'll just stick all the other parts aside. Would have preferred building up another body, but tired of looking at the northeast rust buckets. Considered a transplant into the 71 duster, but the combo in that is already running 7:60s in the 1/8th with the little 340. If I push it any quicker than 7:40 it will Need t be caged. I don't want a street car w/a cage.

Nice car, don't get rid of the 4spd ! 416 / 4spd would be an awesome combo. My swinger is all #s matching and I've been thinking about pulling the original motor and putting in a stroker for fun. Then tuck the original motor in a corner so I don't kill it ! Good luck with whatever you decide .... but you know there is nothing more fun than rowing through the gears !!

I have a 71 demon 340 auto #'s match front to back. Ev2 very nice car. Console and buckets. Chris.

id consider a trade.

I have a 71 Demon. will trade for this if interested. Has been a race car since 1991. Cage, partial tub, spool/4.88 gears in a 489 case. Moser axles rack n pinion w/coil over tubular K frame/front suspension. 360 with eddy heads, Hooker Headers, 999 trans/manual shift turbo action valve body/shifter, full gauge package/all auto meter. MSD IGN. Many good parts.
runs high 11's @ 115 to 117. Needs a better converter to bring it around to ET/MPH comparisons.
Rob: Monroe MI.

Is that fuel line over the fan belt? If so, I would fix that. Launching the belt could, grab the line, snap the filter and start an engine fire.

how would you trade on my black demon its already got the 416 and cal tracs.

Yes it is. Not as close as it looks in pic, but you are correct. Probably not the best set up. Original line that got pulled out to make room for filter and holley duel feed line. Good catch, I never gave that much thought. Was not like that when it had the carter on it.
