Can someone identify these for me please? I think they're out I'd a 78 Volare. Also, are they supposed to have heat shieds?? Going into a 66 dart. Can I lose the butterfly valves??
Thanks.
Jim

You can loose the butterfly valve if you want just by drilling out the pin fulcrum point. A da. Of JB Weld will do.

Looks like a set of 64-66 A body manifolds by the numbers. I take out the butterfly, shaft and all, and tap the manifold for bolts. It will warm up slower but it can never stick shut. Maybe a bit more flow. Pre smog, no shields.

if there from a volare they will not clear the steering in an early A, been there

dakota ones sort of clear if you do some light trimming

Thanks, that's good info. I got this as a basket case, it's a 66 dart originally 273, but came with the 318 out of a 78 volare or aspen??

That may be it, but used the 66 exhaust manifolds. They are the only ones that fit nice.

be there as well, 66 manifolds on the later 318 leak like crazy, same ports for exhaust, but all 70s engines have air ports below exhaust for pollution (even if they didn't have pollution pumps they had the ports)

If you wanna get rid of the heat shields, I may be interested?? Dad has 67 273 cuda, his orig shields are rough. As abv posters said, I know 2465847 is for 273 for sure...Id have to chk manual on the other, but makes sense they are orig to the car.

But unfortunately, the engine isn't. And, I guess I didn't get the shields?
Sorry
