As you can see the engine leans a little to the passenger side, so a little more grinding is needed to level out for the shaumaker mount kit. After grinding today, put the transmission to the motor and drop both in today !

Wow !! Rambungshes younggun build going on here  I am not a fan of the black engine bay but you have a good look going on on here =P~ Congratulations 8) I bet you can't wait to fire that V8 up :color:

GREAT JOB!!!!
My first car was a '75 Dart Sport 318 3 speed, bought when I was 15. I had it for 16 years and when I was done it had a 340 4 speed and it looked EXACTLY like the '73 I have know! I got in an accident, fixed it then decided to sell it.
14 years later (2013) I seen this car for sale and decided I had 2 have it. Drove 30 hours down to California with my truck and bought it and brought it home!
Keep up the good work as there arent many of these left.
Cheers
:burnout:

You mentioned one side lower than the other...I asked if you couldn't put a spacer or shim on the low side to bring it up and even, but I just realized you have spool mounts and that's why you're grinding down...my mistake.

Yeah no problem man, that's why I was wondering what you meant by shim, no problem, thanks for the help anyways though . I always appreciate positive feedback .

I might be. I probably won't be bringing my car or his, but I might be going.

Are you taking your car to the alameda show this year ?

Very nice you did a great job...As for the engine bay it is all a matter of opinion on the color It will look great with the orange engine installed...I second what was said earlier about the smog holes below your exhaust ports...Drill and tap them and put set screws in the holes with sealer on them before you put the engine in the car...Otherwise they will leak and be a pain to do in the vehicle....Nice work you should be proud & happy to have such a nice ride...Bill

Update on the TM. The car starts great and idles nice. Dropped it down. Went to back up, dies. Again and again and again and again. Tried for 4-5 minutes to get it to back out, no comprende. Timing is correct. Carb works correct. Idle is fine and no vacuum leaks. I pushed it into the street if it would go forward on level ground. No comprende. REALLY have to double foot it to get it to move at all.

The only thing I can think of is the rebuilt transmission's (727 TF + shift kit) torque converter isn't working correctly. Almost like it has no stall at all when put into any gear. Really frustrating, especially because I don't have much money left to deal with something like that.

More updates to come. Thanks for the support everybody.

can you put it on the lift and fire it up and see if it shifts thru all 3 forwards and reverse while in the air??

We did that . Up in the air it had trouble in reverse (would basically die) but If I remember correctly the drive was fine.

I don't know..it might be apart for paint at that point.right now its my only vehicle so I drive it daily...so its dirty.....

Did you have the torque converter rebuilt? What size camshaft? If those two items don't match, a lot of times when you put it in drive, the car will want to act almost like a clutch is engaged because your stall is too low, hence the engine dying as soon as its in reverse or drive. Your cam card should have the specs of what your converter stall should be.
