I'm done with these losers. 40 minutes late for tennis!! Then they rush through round 1 in TF. Go right into round 2 while posting the results of FC round 1!! They could care less about their fans. I guess if you're not at the track spending money you're not worth anything. After all the angry people making phone calls and posting online last season, nothing changed. :violent1: Nascar does a much better job with the fans. So I guess I'll be just watching Nascar this year.
 
dont blame espn...blame nhra....nhra signed a contract that allows espn to do that...
 
I have sent messages before and all I get is a form letter about Live telecast vs taped and time constraints...blah..blah..blah.
 
It was still a 2 hour broadcast as scheduled, just late as usual.....

I agree, it would and should be live JMO.. But I did enjoy watching it Saturday morning on espn2 as I drank my coffee :D better then not seeing it at all I guess.
But, I agree NHRA should show it live like they did in the early 80es :cheers: yep the good times of friends bringing there coolers and food for the grill and watch some drag racing on the tub don't work real well not unless it is taped/recorded and don't watch the sports news all weekend so we can do some wagering .

I stopped looking for it on the guide to even watch it. I would watch , but its not worth the hassle to try and find what time it comes on, or stay up until midnight to watch. funny how you know a week ahead when a nascar race is to be aired.
 
Nascar is live...NHRA is tape....big difference...

if the tape starts 15 minutes or one hour late...it is still on tape and results do not change
 
Is Americas lack of interest a cause of, or a symptom of the media showing an interest?
 
ESPN has been doing this for the last 3-4 years. They don't care whom they inconvienence, and neither does NHRA. I've had conversations with some of the CSR's from both NHRA and ESPN, and they all give you the same "LIP SERVICE". I just record it and watch it at my leisure.
 
Next weeks finals start at 11PM. Like I'll stay up to 1 AM on a school night. And that's IF it starts on time.
 
I'm old enough to remember when you would only read about race events months after they happened. Speed TV went away and I miss that. When they stop showing drag racing I'll miss that too.
